The Girls of Red Cedar Retrievers
Meet Our Family
Hello, we are the Joos family. Our family consists of our oldest daughter Cassidy, our son Adam, and the newest addition as of July 2024, Amanda. Our family changes quite often, as we are also a licensed foster home. Some of our favorite family memories have been watching our dogs run around our home and yard with the kids, watching them form that special bond that a child and a dog can have.
With Jenny and I both raised in hunting families, there was no shortage of dogs around, growing up with Golden and Labrador Retrievers along with the occasional pointing dog. We both had many core memories from our childhoods that included dogs. After we got engaged, we decided we wanted the same for our soon-to-be family and decided to get a dog of our own. We settled on a lab because of their gentle nature, desire to please, intelligence, and of course, their hunting ability. In summer of 2017, we got a chocolate lab and named her Gracie. She is the one who instilled in us our passion for breeding and training exceptional labs and became the cornerstone for Red Cedar Retrievers.
As a family, we are excited for you to be on this journey with Red Cedar Retrievers, as we are proud to provide our clients with a new family member and hunting partner. We feel everyone deserves a well bred, healthy dog whether for in the field or around the house.
